A year after Sandy: Old Freebie is still missing

Hurricane Sandy removed the American flag from the flagpole at 201 Old Country Road overnight. I'd long admired this flag near my neighborhood, which can also be seen from the cars going down both Route 110 and the Northern State Parkway. Unfortunately the flag pole's owner has not seen fit to replace the flag. I assumed the flag and the property it is on is part of the 201 Old Country Road property, so I had written letters to the buildings owner (found an address online) and to "whom it may concern" at the building itself. That was back in the spring, and there has been no reply and no new flag.

October 28, 2012, the last time a flag was flown here. Hurricane Sandy took it down.
October 28, 2012. The flag was gone by the next day.
