Hurricane Sandy Update

We are okay. We still don't have heat or power nearly a week after Hurricane Sandy hit. There is no damage to our house but just down our street many trees and power lines came down all together. Many of the residents must have been and may still be trapped inside. There is no sign that any utility companies have come to work on it but a local resident has been (dangerously) cutting the trees away bit by bit. The American flag on the office lawn at the other end of our street first shredded during the storm and then disappeared. All of our other family members elsewhere on Long Island and in Pennsylvania are also okay.
