E-waste is your problem too

Did you know that a 4 foot by 4 foot box of disposed and shredded circuit boards can be worth as much as $10,000? Did you know that Sweden and Denmark recycle over 100% of their glass consumption? Did you know that there is a huge illegal trade in shipping our e-waste to developing countries?

Food Box: Go!

Eatery Review

Ellen showed me one of her favorite haunts in Mineola, a little rail-car come diner called Kiss The Chef. It is, hands down, the best diner food that can be had. It is run by veterans of the NYC catering scene. It has a distinct latin flair to some of the food, owing to their Guatemalan origins. If you order a grilled chicken sandwich at any other diner, thats what you get; plain grilled chicken on a standard hamburger bun. The same dish at Kiss The Chef is a much different affair. The chicken is seasoned, the bun is a big tasty roll, and the presentation is above par. The service is friendly, and the prices can't be beat.

The messenger bag of awesomeness

I got this awesome messenger bag from a conference I went to a couple of years ago. Its better than another bag that I purchased. I highly recommend it. Apparently you can order one plain, or there are various companies that will put your logo or design on a bulk order.

NYIT's Awful Holiday Card

My alma mater sent me a holiday card (supposedly from our president). Its truly a triumph of awful design. They should not really show this to anyone they hope to impress. [link]

This is the graphic climax, if you can call it that:

You or I could sneeze on the side of a dumpster and come out with something better designed than this. This is not communication, this is someone throwing time and or money away.
