The music on the 64 Second Film Contest is the same as a track available for use in the Adult Swim Put On Your Shorts contest. Probably just a piece of commercially available stock music.
HTML tables
I'm currently loving HTML tables thanks mostly to Sarah's webdesigns. I may yet be inspired to redesign my own website and make sites for all those that I have promised to do sites for.

The new Supreme Ruler of Earth
The biggest news story of the day, and I can't find any news articles with the slant I want. I'll just have to watch the Daily Show later.

The new iMac
Is it just me or does it seem dumb to build a webcam into a computer casing? Now instead of easily re-aiming you palm size camera you would have to turn your whole iMac.
Particulars from the wetdown
As soon as I heard there was a wetdown, I knew I was in for a free lunch. Albertson fire department got a new rescue truck, and fire trucks from other departments came to give it a good hosing. As I've seen before, the champagne bottle decided not to break during the christening of the new vehicle, so they brought out a fire axe. I got a cool 805 wetdown t-shirt and a bunch of cool pictures.

The nice people at Yahoo! Webhosting
I have been hosting my website (which needs serious updating) on Yahoo! Small Business Webhosting for almost a year now. I was already a pretty sweet deal, and now they have given me even more. Without any price increase, they are giving me 250% more storage space, 800% more data transfer capacity (bandwith), and 200 email accounts (I was limited to 25 previously). They have also giving me Perl scripting support, PHP and MySQL support, and more. They're awesome! They should change their name to Yahoo! Super Awesome Webhosting.

Demo reel fixed!
I kept getting hits on the new version of my demo reel when I went to DVD-R, so I put it trough Cleaner XL and burned the master with Adobe Encore. Hooray! I was getting frustrated with it. Now I can mail it out (after I make copies, and labels etc.)
Double Fine
Double Fine has a cool website. Go to their jobs section and scroll down to their "We are always recruiting everybody... ALL THE TIME!" section and read the whole thing. It's funny.
What's all this then?
I'm not quite sure. But the perpetual-motion-like-thingy with those guys is great.

Peacock Pie
We went to the National Gallery of Art where we saw still life works by Pieter Claesz from the 17th century. Some of the paintings had pies with bird parts sticking out of them. There was a pigeon pie, a turkey pie and I could swear there was a peacock pie.

Pieter Claesz, detail of Tabletop Still Life with Pigeon Pie and Delftware Jug, c.1626.
References to eating peacocks in Futurama:
Episode: Three Hundred Big Boys
While sneaking into Elzar's kitchen to unplug his refrigerator, Leela passes a pot on the stove that has peacock tail feathers sticking out of it.
Episode: The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings
Fry is working on his opera and Leela wants to hear it. She says "...its beautiful"; then Fry says; "So's a peacock, but you don't eat it till its cooked."

D.C. License Plates
'Taxatation Without Representation' adorns the plates in the District of Columbia. Is it just me, or does this phase mean the opposite without the word 'no'. I guess the folks in Washington want to tax us without us being represented. It says so on all of their cars. And their doing a fair job of it too.
