Solar Panels!
The mother of a friend put in a PV system at their house in rural New Jersey. She is the first person I really know to install such a system in their home. The panels are not mounted on the roof of the house but in the expansive back yard. They are connected to the grid and there is no battery system. She said she had them mounted at a 30 degree angle for optimum collection for her location.

Ace Donald
This was after warmup. His beak is a bit stubby and the crossed arms were pretty hard (and still didn't come out right). This is the first full body I attempted and one of the first in this series that was not referenced in detail from a model sheet. The first time I uploaded this, flickr inverted the colors! That never happened to me before. I saved a smaller version and it came out ok.

More Donald Duck Drawings
I draw some more Donald Duck from model sheets. Hands are hard, esp. cartoon duck hands, esp. cartoon duck hands drawn by Disney animators...

Donald
The trick to Donald is that his beak is really squared off kinda. Before I really understood the structure of Donald's beak, my drawings looked awful. When he is angry, his eyes are more like triangles than ovals. And he always has messy hair, which is more interesting than a plain round head. I really appreciate all the work that those animators put into Donald, he is pretty detailed for a major character. Oh yeah, and those eye arches extend above the top of his head.

Adventureing Safari

Look, I'm on safari

Ah, I'll photograph you first. You'll see that some of these photos have extraordinary vines that grow straight horizontally and don't seem to attach to anything, they're called telephone vines...

I'll just turn the camera this way...

My faithful assistant chimes in: (in Cockney accent) "I don't think you ought to be doing that."

OMG, I must photograph whatever horrible thing is about to eat me!
