Muppets and Star Wars Connection

Muppet New Flash: I have seen something for which I can find no references on the internet.

I recently watched The Great Muppet Caper, towards the end of the film when the gang of bad guys is breaking into the Mallory Gallery they have to push a lot of buttons on some high tech looking panels.

I believe these are recycled Star Wars set pieces.

Indeed Caper was partly filmed at Elstree Studios in between production of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi.

I can't believe that in all my views of the Star Wars movies and the Great Muppet Caper that I never made this connection.
